In the grounds of the handsome stone St Patrick's Church of Ireland in Newtwongore are some old 18th centruy gravestones and the ruin of an old church circa the 17th century.

Haughton's shore, located just outside Newtowngore, is a picturesque marina on Lake Garadice.
