Carrigallen is set between the north and south shores of Town Lake and is an excellent angling centre. In the centre of the town is the Corn Mill theatre which has an extensive and varied programme of entertainment from drama (amateur and professional) to variety shows, music and poetry.

The theatre which has been recently refurbished has excellent facilities. There is some magnificent scenery around the town.
